Help Richard O'Dwyer

Richard O'Dwyer is a student Sheffield Hallam University.

Richard faces extradition to the US to face allegations relating to US copyright law. He is NOT charged with breaking any UK laws. Regarding the American allegations, Richard did not host any copyrighted information on his site, he merely told other people where to find things.

There is growing support for a debate on the current US-UK extradition arrangements. This is something the Green Party supports. For many years Gary McKinnon has been under threat of extradition and watching Home Secretaries come and go with no resolution of his position. Caroline Lucas MP has championed the case of Babar Ahmed now in his 7th year here in a high security prison - with no charge - while under threat of extradition to America for alleged terrorist offences.
