The 98 candidates in the Yorkshire & the Humber region:

Bradford 13   (3 sitting councillors)

  • Cllr Martin Love defending in Shipley (2011 majority 875 votes)

Calderdale 6

Craven 1

Doncaster 1

Hull 3: Martin Deane in Avenue, James Russell in Newland, Mike Lammiman in Bricknell.

Kirklees 19   (4 sitting councillors)

  • Cllr Andrew Cooper defending in Newsome (2011 majority 1067 votes)
  • Robert Barraclough aiming to take Kirkburton from the Tories (2011 Green majority 82 votes)

Leeds 19 (2 sitting councillors)

  • Cllr David Blackburn defending in Farnley & Wortley (2011 majority 642 votes)

North East Lincolnshire 3

Rotherham 2

Sheffield 28 (2 sitting councillors)

  • Cllr Rob Murphy defending in Central (2011 majority 193 votes)
  • Bernard Little aiming to take Broomhill from the Lib Dems

Wakefield 3

There are also two councillors in York and one in Scarborough – no elections this year.
